Business Development Manager
(Jakarta based, for Indonesian Nationality)
This vacancy is required for our client, an established international company.
Purpose of position:
• Identify and deliver business opportunities where this client can supply its inspection and testing services to international companies within, or outside Indonesia who wish to import/export their goods;
• This could be within a number of different industries such as Petroleum products, Agriculture, Agrifood, Mining, forestry, consumer products -list is not exhaustive.
Expectations of the position:
• Contributes to rapid growth objective of the company through development and win of contracts with new and existing clients;
• Contributes to the implementation of business model based on long-term service contract, project management and client focus.
Commercial:
• Developing the business with the objective of identifying potential market, its tendencies, the competition and resources available;
• Managing and coordinating the management of Local Key Accounts;
• Managing all market and competitor information;
• Commercial interface with clients.
Product and Marketing Development:
• Leading strategic choices and launching new products;
• Understanding the clients in terms of their needs, expectation level of satisfaction as well as increasing potential business and developing the contacts and the necessary analysis;
• Developing and maintaining project estimating database to ensure consistency in estimations and a history of estimating data for future projects;
• Contributing to engineering of production/ sales processes.
Management and Coordination:
• Managing the operational team in terms of commercial development, management of services, including human resources management (recruitment and training), quality service and OHS;
• Following up the financial operational results.
Requirements:
• Ideal candidate will have a track record of success in identifying opportunities, preparing business proposals, and delivering tangible business;
• Operations experience also desirable but the role is primarily commercial;
• Previous experience of working for an International Inspection, surveying or certification company is desirable but not mandatory;
• Technical background and experience preferred;
• Minimum 5 years experience;
• Bachelors degree.
