QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER & SENIOR MARKET REPRESENTATIVE – CONNOR

The Connor is a global product sourcing multinational in 14 office worldwide. We are currently looking for highly qualified professionals to fill the following position in our Indonesian Representative  Office

QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER  (QAM)

Requirements :

• Have at lest 5 years experience in furniture or apparel background and managerial position
• Graduate in University or related field
• Good command of English
• Familiar with International quality and requirements for US and European clients
• Exhibit effective communication skills and have the ability to interact with others
  

Job Tasks :

• Provide effective supervision of daily operation of QA Department and ensure the quality policy maintained
• Plan and control of inspection expenses, organize resources for running the QA Department
• Organize pre production meeting to review product specifications
• Identifying causes and corrective actions for production problems found during inspection
• Ensuring that size and other specifications for manufacturing are adhered to and production/fit is in line with approval sample
• Review failed inspection with head of merchandising to identify problems affecting the quality of merchandise and make disposition for re-inspection to ensure that quality standards are met.
• Ensure production and delivery problem feedback to the merchandising team in timely manner
• Reviewing and updating profiles for existing and prospective vendor/factory to confirm that these accurately reflect resources capability and compliance with Code of Conduct and Country of Origin regulations
• Working with local inspectors in factories and undertaking random field audit ,providing reports and feedback to the management
• Exercise due diligent audit
• Developing training program and conducting training sessions on quality standards, quality control systems and procedures, production technology and problem solving
• Monitor troubleshooting projects
• Application of statistics reporting and analysis the performance of vendor and factory
• Set the quality improvement plan with vendor and follow up the effectiveness
• Update quality records and clients requirements.
  

SENIOR MARKET REPRESENTATIVE (SMR)

Requirements :

• At least 5 years experience in furniture merchandising with a sourcing organization or furniture marketing company;
• Must have supervisory skills to lead a team of 4-6 persons;
• S1 graduate;
• Excellent communication skills in oral and written Bahasa Indonesia and English;
• Computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Internet;
• Has good interpersonal skills;
• Attention to details;
• Willing to learn;
• Has self initiative and able to work independently;
• Based in Jakarta.

Job task :

• Familiarize with market attributes and understand clients preference
• Source potential vendor for all categories and identify other product opportunities for clients so as to drive more business
• Negotiate with vendors on price and delivery issue for the best interest of clients
• Communicate order details and requirements to factories and all parties concerned during development stage
• Monitor production process to meet quantity, quality,order, testing specifications and delivery dates
• Diagnose production problems and work with factories to present alternative to both buyers and vendors
• Coordinate with internal department such as Operations / Technical and QA to ensure smooth workflow for order follow up
• Accompany clients to visit vendor / factories in their buying trips
• Assist our clients in pursuing claims against vendors
• Do research and development of product for next season’s orders
• Source vendors according to client’s requirement’s. Follow up Vendor / Factory evaluation result
• Prepare material and set up presentation for clients
