Responsible to: Project Manager
Requirements: Min. Bachelor degree in civil engineering with relevant working experience in related areas
Under direction, he will perform wide professional civil engineering work, which may include supervision of an engineering staff; and performs related work as required.
The responsibilities are as follow:

Designs road, highway, bridges, and similar public works facilities; reviews the work of professional, sub professional and clerical staff assigned to assist in the planning, design and preparation of drawings, plans, specifications, bids and estimates on specific projects; serves as resident engineer for contract administration of complex projects; prepares engineering and budgetary reports and recommendations.

Plans, designs, and supervises the installation of hydrologic telemetry systems

Serves as resident engineer for contract administration of road, highway, bridge construction projects and more complex road construction projects
-
Coordinates final preparation of road contract plans; writes specifications and sets up bid and construction schedules for the road contracts
-
Reviews public developments to plan proper road location, and investigation and evaluation of soils reports
-
Conducts hydrologic and hydraulic analyses such as reservoir and ground-water-yield studies and rainfall-runoff, open-channel and pipe flow analyses
-
Gathers data, devises solutions, and prepares engineering and economic reports and recommendations.

Requirements: Min. Bachelor degree in civil or architect engineering with experience in tunneling or heavy structure engineering
Typical work activities include:
-
Design, inspect / supervise bridges, dams, highways, buildings and foundations during and after construction for structural quality, general safety and conformance to specifications and codes.

Analyzing suitable configurations of the basic structural components of a tunnel or other structure
-
Calculating the pressures stresses and strains that each component, such as a beam or lintel, is likely to experience from other parts of the structure or from external pressures, such as wind and waves
-
Considering the strength of various materials, e.g. timber, concrete, steel and brick, to see how their inclusion may necessitate a change of structural design
-
Liaising with other designers to reach agreement about safe designs and how they may fit in with the aesthetic concept of the construction
-
Examining structures at risk of collapse and advising on measures to be taken to improve their structural integrity, such as recommending removal or repair of defective parts or re-building the entire
-
Communicating the design of a structure through drawings, specifications and computer models so that others can construct it
-
Investigating ground conditions and analyzing results of site tests, such as soil samples
-
Liaising closely with construction contractors to ensure that newly erected tunnel are structurally sound
-
Applying expert knowledge of the forces that act on various structures
-
Using computer-aided design (CAD) technology for simulation purposes

Requirements: Min. Bachelor degree in civil, environmental, or sanitary engineering with relevant experience in areas such as water supply, water treatment design, hydrogeology, sanitary engineering, hydraulics, fluid mechanics, or solid waste
Environmental engineers play a key role in assessing and managing the effects of human and other activity on the natural and built environment, including: waste management (including local authorities and site operators), land reclamation (developers, local authorities and land owners) and pollution/effluent control (local authorities and industry).
The responsibilities include :

Visiting and assessing various sites

Tendering for projects, ranging from environmental audits to major contaminated land reclamation such as water and sewage treatment plants, storm water and river control works

Gaining resource consents for proposed structures or repairs
-
Communicating relevant issues to other technical staff, regulatory authorities, public interest groups and the public

Working with computer models to assess a range of environmental processes

Requirements: Min. Bachelor degree in civil or related engineering field with relevant experience in irrigation system
The responsibilities include:

Plans, designs, and oversees construction of irrigation projects for transporting and distributing water to agricultural lands
-
Plans and designs irrigation fixtures and installation of fixtures to meet requirements and specifications
-
Directs, through subordinate supervisors, construction of such irrigation systems as dams, canals, and ditches, according to type of soil, climatic characteristics, water supply, return flow, and other factors affecting irrigation requirements
-
Conducts research on problems of soil drainage and conservation, applying knowledge of civil engineering
-
Developing water resources and improving the productivity of irrigated agriculture
-
Rehabilitation and upgrading (R&U) of existing irrigation systems and canal networks
-
Improving the management of surface water, groundwater, and water quality
-
Facilitating an improved institutional framework and capacity development
-
Development of improved intake structures and river diversions, canal re-sectioning, flood protection, enhanced control structures, drainage improvements, infrastructure for flood control, dams, new irrigation command areas, river training and other works

Requirements: Min. Bachelor degree in civil or related engineering field with relevant experience as QC engineer
The responsibilities include:

Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for construction processes and materials

Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as electrical, or mechanical
-
Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility
-
Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability
-
More specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, work evaluation and reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application
